1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add apples, brown sugar, raisins, and 1/2
teaspoon cinnamon and cook for 2 to 4 minutes, or
until sugar is melted and sauce is thickened.
Spoon into tart shells; cover and chill for at
least 2 hours.
In a small bowl, beat heavy cream, granulated
sugar, and remaining 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon until
stiff peaks form. Spoon over the tarts and serve,
or cover loosely and keep chilled until ready to
serve.
Note: This can also be made with fresh apples.
Simply peel and thinly slice 2 to 3 apples then
cook in the brown sugar mixture until tender.
